Job Description

Our Corporate Affairs team is lean, but is made up of tough, quick-witted, entrepreneurial, and intellectually-curious people. We communicate to the Myanmar public about City Holding’s purpose, values and mission to improve lives through innovation to businesses and individuals, using both traditional and new media and tools. City Holdings Limited is looking for an extraordinary communications professional to join the Corporate Communications function, which protects and advocates for the City Holdings brand and as well as the brands under its various sector businesses. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Affairs, you will work with executives and teams across City Holdings, including finance, legal, government relations, HR, and marketing. We are looking for creativity, and the ability to change course quickly and perform in high-stress situations.


- Support members of the corporate communications team on multiple proactive and reactive projects, including priority projects
- Support media relations activities including list building and maintenance, media monitoring, and developing relationships with both offline and online media
- Plan and implement communications strategy for internal communications, including translation, design and basic content across different digital platforms and tools such as Microsoft 365 and our very own City Family App
- Support timely and precise corporate announcements group-wide
- Coordination and communication of CSR / Sustainability activities at the group level

Job Requirements

- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and at least 3-4 years relevant work experience, either at a PR agency or within a communications team
- An interest in business communications and media, and a passion for technology
- Understanding of national media outlets (knowledge of regional publications a plus)
- Excellent communications, research, and writing skills in both Burmese and English
- An analytical and curious mind
- Ability to handle high priority and high-pressure situations
- Attention to detail
- The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- A belief in the purpose of City Holdings and a sense of humour
- Ability to use Photoshop / do basic video editing is a plus!
- An appreciation of proper punctuation marks
