Business Development Manager (The Pink Sun)

Job Description

Responsible for research and identify new business opportunities for the organization.


- Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets (this would include marketing strategies to reach potential clients / markets)
- Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization
- Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
- Prepare strategy proposals for pitches and/or existing clients
- Meet with customers/clients face-to-face or over the phone / video calls
- Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
- Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
- Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
- Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
- Work with legal team to draw up client contracts
- Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them
- Ensure staff are on board throughout the organization, and understand the need for change and what is required of them
- Train members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate
- Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the account management department and ensure implementations are executed well
- Seek ways of improving the way the business operates

Job Requirements

- At least 2 - 3yrs experience in a business development / marketing role at Advertising or Marketing Agency
- University degree
- Good grasp and usage of the English language - spoken and written
- Knowledge of a second language is a bonus
- Ability to work fast under pressure and able to meet deadlines with ease
- Ability to multitask
- Good leadership skills, including project management capabilities
- Good strategic-thinking skills, yet detailed oriented
- Problem-solver
- Advanced skills in using Microsoft tools and other digital tools to enhance internal and external communications (Trello, Slack, Teams, etc)
