The Business Intelligence (BI) Architect is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting reporting solutions for business users in different sectors of retail and distribution industry. Experience in all stages of BI project work (requirements and logical design, physical design, implementation, testing, and deployment) is necessary. The BI Senior Developer should have a firm grasp of BI implementation methodologies and will have had in-depth experience with Microsoft Power BI stack.
- Architect, design and develop end to end business intelligence solution based on Microsoft Power BI platform.
- Must have working experience or have business logic understanding in retail, distribution and logistics area
- Work with clients to define user requirements for web systems, dashboards and reports. Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for BI front-end applications
- Design, develop, optimize, maintain and support ETL processes using Stored Procedures and Microsoft SSIS (Experience in SSRS is a plus)
- Define BI framework model, semantic layers and Metadata repositories to support reporting and administration
- Develop and manage BI end user presentation layer training and documentation.
- Able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards.
- Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements.
- Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources.
- Should have knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent area of computing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of data analytics using power BI, Tableau, Advanced Excel, Qlik or any other BI tools
- Expert level competency in SQL Scripting and strong understanding of DWH and data modelling
- Experience in working with large volume of data
- Experience in DWH, performance tuning of databases, writing stored procedures, job scheduling, ETL processes, and so on
- Experience in python, R and machine learning is a plus (but not a mandatory)
